Comic/Reality Crossover

comicmultiversewallpaperFor years, and many more years to come, comic fans have speculated and debated on who are mightiest heroes and most destructive villains throughout all the comic book universes. Comic Crossovers has come to life with many publications:

crossover publications

The general topic on comic crossovers is the battles between two characters; who’s superpower or resources are more dominant. The Crossover Multiverse will jump into these battles of discussion, exploring the possibilities of the match ups and finding out who is the victor, the defeated or should the bout be an alliance. What is your favorite comic battle?… Let’s come to our world in the multiverse,
Do you think supernatural powers could be real? Are we as humans more than we seem? It could be possible with theories like
Stephen Hawking Universe,

which gives us a perspective on our place in the universe and the knowledge that there are infinite worlds in the cosmos which makes the comic book world very possible. The notion that atoms ( which is our structural make up) and the solar system work so similar, inspires the writer to believe that the solar systems of the universe could be and are the atoms to a greater being…..

Astronomers have sent out radio waves throughout our space exploration history,  in hope of intelligence, which is an inspiration to the film Contact. Scientific facts have shown that the brain is a transmitter and receiver of vibrational frequencies like a radio, but much more powerful than any on our planet. Now think for a moment…. With the thoughts and ideas of comic writers today,  how do we know that their ideas are in fact mental transmissions from real worlds in the universe instead of formulated ideas of fantasy? What if……..

Lets’s look into some sci-fi films. Do you believe, even though most films are fiction, there are movie hinting some truth behind the stories? For example, the film The LawnMower Man. In the clip below the character Jobe explains that the unnaturally phenomenon such as telekinesis, isn’t new but a dormant natural function of man.

We as humans are known only use 10%-15% brain power, so what will happen to use if we use 100% in our daily lives, pushing the brain’s alpha waves to the maximum? Are we returning to our original design? The human body has evolved and still evolving through each generation. Take this news clip of a boy who can see in the dark.

Haven’t we seen this before with Riddick? Movie hints mentioned before, maybe more nonfiction than fiction being portrayed.

Is it human evolution or self-realization? Do we have the dormant genetic codes inside to display feats of power, that people would consider unnatural like the mutant universe X-Men? Or even portrayed in the popular TV Series Heroes?

Or, has true human potential been mentally locked away through the years of developing social structure such as religion, governments, and rationalization? A system of thinking. What if the Matrix trilogy is explaining how to break such mental control on how we view our reality, from a worldly to universal standpoint? And the way to become so much more…..

Just imagine if everyone on Earth could use 100% of their mental and physical potential at once? Immortality could be very possible and the world order would never be the same. Instead of battling each other over resources and power, we must come to realize that we are 1 in the universe among billions of life forms intelligent and unintelligent. How are we to protect ourselves against natural or unnatural universal catastrophes when we are so busy dominating each other? For example, movies such as Knowing and 2012 display natural occurrences that happen throughout the cosmos on planetary systems. Or, movies such as Independence Day or Battleship where there are intelligent life forms in the universe,  that may or may not  come in peace. What real defense do we have against forces like these?

With these known possibilities and facts, comics books is an avenue that fills the void of such possibilities; with heroes that have special gifts, natural or unnatural, that help defend against forces outside of human comprehension, till the day we learn to free our minds….

Daredevil vs Batman

batman vs daredevil

Daredevil vs Batman is among the popular crossover topics discussed by comic fans. This popularity influenced the creation of the intercompany crossover comics: Eye For An Eye and King of New York. Bruce and Matt are the sons of murdered parents which inspired them to later become avengers to the innocent. Both heroes have clothed themselves in a frightful image to strike fear in the criminal underworld. They have many similarities and differences which makes a crossover battle interesting. Maybe one day, we will see this crossover in live animation like Batman V Superman….

Marvel Comics Hell’s Kitchen is no difference than the Hell’s Kitchen of our world. This section of New York includes low-income housing, violence and gangs. It is a living nightmare or hell as some may see it, so choosing the symbol of a devil seems fitting for Matt Murdock.  One major difference between Daredevil and Batman is that Daredevil has intentions on killing his enemies like Bullseye. Even though Bullseye managed to survive death, this categorized Daredevil as an anti-hero. Daredevil may not directly kill someone but he won’t save them from death either.

Gotham City is a fictional city in the DC Universe. Gotham City is filled with much corruption, ranging from politicians down to the local street gangs. This city has tall gothic architectural style buildings and statues. With this environment Batman strikes the likeness of Dracula. Batman refrains from killing criminals even though his methods of intimidation makes a person feel as if death were close. In the end, most criminal are handed over to Gotham Police Department or sent to Arkham Asylum.

Having superpowers gives Daredevil an edge on Batman. His radar sense gives him excellent equilibrium with his martial arts. With his radar sense, Daredevil could hone in on his opponent before even reaching them. This also makes it hard for his enemies or opponents to hide from him.  His super reflexes allows Daredevil to avoid most projectile attacks, especially that of a speeding bullet or a flying batarang. His superpower is also his weakness for too much noise at high frequency could overwhelm Daredevil.

Since Batman has no superpowers, he must use his tactical weapons as an extension of himself. Batman’s utility belt is his armory and archive ( archive meaning the utility belt has gadgets made to battle against superhumans he has studied and learned from in the past). Batman has won most of his battles with his arsenal. In the case of Daredevil, it wouldn’t take Batman much time to figure out Daredevil’s abilities and the weaknesses, weaknesses he would take full advantage of it. One blast from Batman’s sonic devastator Daredevil would be immobilized.

Even though this is a battle between the two characters, heroes always benefit from each other instead of fighting. What if Batman enhanced Daredevil’s costume to make it similar to his own? For instance, Batman could re-create Daredevil’s mask to the point where it could dampen harmful incoming sound, eliminating his weaknesses of overwhelming sound waves. Batman could also create a utility belt for Daredevil. It’s main function is a sonic receiver and transmitter. This high-powered utility belt could work in unison with the mask. It could boost Daredevil’s radar sense to the point where the entire city of New York can be viewed from one location, much like Superman scanning over Earth with his super hearing. Also Batman could create flame throwing gauntlets, which main purpose is to conceal Daredevil’s entry and exit from enemy sight, a theatrical tactic. The outside of the costume could be made in a special Nomex M5 material which would stand against intense heat while the inside become cooler, preventing Matt from burning or overheating while standing in flames…

daredevil nightwing

Even though Daredevil would be eventually be outmatched by Batman, many fans think: Well how about a battle with Nightwing?! It wouldn’t be much of a battle for Nightwing because he was the first trained by Batman, trained so well Nightwing took on the role of Batman for a time. The same result would happen to Daredevil if he battled Nightwing. Because of the radar sense, Daredevil would come second to the arsenal might of Batman or Nightwing.  Do you think Daredevil would fit in perfect with the heroes of the batcave?? Do you think Matt Murdock could be an excellent Batman?

Red Lantern Corps: Sith Lords

What if…..Atrocitus summoned powerful Sith Lords to join and help make his Red Lantern Corps reign supreme?! With the exception for Atrocitus, Corps members lose control of their mental functions while functioning with blind rage. The Sith are trained to use what’s called Force Rage to make them strong in the dark side of the force. With this control, being overtaken by the increased power of rage would have no effect. With this mastery, Atrocitus decided to recruit Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Darth Malgus; believing them to be the strongest using the rage emotion. Each one of the Sith are recruited at specific times, times where they displayed the most rage and anger. The power of the Red Ring allows Atrocitus to travel to the different universal time periods that these Sith Lords displayed their greatest rage.

Darth Vader is recruited to the Red Lantern Corps during the time he placed into his new armor and learning his wife has perished by his own hands.

When he accepted the power ring, he no longer needed the life support systems provided through his suit now that the ring supplies the life force he needs to stay alive. Utilizing his rage, Darth Vader has healed majority of his external tissue even though his cybernetic limbs couldn’t be healed back to the normal fleshly state. With the power the ring supplies, Vader can created construct copies of himself, lightsabers, and constructs of his TIE Fighter for flight, as longs as his rage burns fierce.

Darth Maul is recruited days after being struck down by Obi Wan Kenobi. What kept Maul alive was the dark side of the force. His hatred and rage grew day after day, desiring nothing more but to take revenge on Obi Wan Kenobi. Using his rage to stay alive from his injuries is what attracted the Red Power Ring to aid Darth Maul. In this new cosmic state, Maul would destroy Kenobi and even Darth Sidious with little effort…

Darth Malgus is recruited after he being defeated on Alderaan by Jedi Satele Shan. Believed to have died under the rubble, Darth Malgus in fact used his dark force powers to keep himself from being crushed. His defeat and his injuries fueled his rage and plans for revenge, Atrocitus found this the perfect time to recruit him.

With his control of the red power ring, Malgus could create duplicate copies of his ring, which can be temporarily used by his Sith soldiers. These soldiers took part in storming the Jedi Temple in the Old Republic. With the new power rings, the Sith became the most powerful force in the universe. The entire Republic falls to the rule of Malgus with no possible end in sight…

Having the Red Power Ring is an excellent addition to the power of the Sith. The power ring itself could amplify their force abilities tenfold. Each Sith warrior notably has a burning construct emblem of the Red Lantern Corps emitting from the chest cavity, displaying the intensity of their rage. Knowing the nature of the Sith, Atrocitus reprogrammed the rings to stay in his complete control, preventing the Sith to take over his Corps. Similar to Galactus giving the Surfer a portion of his cosmic power, but not enough to make the Surfer greater or have a chance of defeating him. With this programming, the Sith are to aid Atrocitus when he wishes, for the exchange to freely use the power of the ring to strengthen their order. If any Sith tries to take on Atrocitus, or attempts an effort to take control of his Lantern Corps, the power ring will self destruct in a nuclear explosion resulting in the death of the user.

Sensing the danger of what such an alliance would cause between the Sith and the Red Lantern Corps, Ganthet and Sayd traveled through time to recruit a warrior to battle the Sith, Galen Marek aka Starkiller! Knowing that Starkiller was betrayed by his master Darth Vader, Ganthet and Sayd knew the only way Starkiller could take proper revenge against his former master is to become an agent of good and becoming the shiny hope for the universe..

starkiller

With his power, Starkiller has the ability to create what is known as Force Constructs, which are visible constructs of the Force that is not produced from the Blue Power Ring directly. Do you think the Sith can stand a chance against a powerful Blue Lantern Jedi?! What chance does StarKiller has all by himself??
